We changed our design several times during the ideation process because we wanted to achieve something delightful to the present time. We considered using a time capsule and a sphere to represent time, but then we thought, why not use the change of colors to do it by referencing the sunlight and moonlight?
We refined our design in the final round of the ideation process by determining the placement of the buttons and the size of the product. Several paper models have been created to test the size and placement of the buttons.
The height of the product is the main thing that we were trying to figure out during this process, I made some scratch models test out the correct size, and hand it to Kaku for the final concept modeling.
During the prototyping stage, each of us printed our own model and tested out various product features. I purchased an air diffuser and disassembled it to see if the concept of vaping with light is feasible. An example of a working prototype is shown in the image above and in the video below.
